Summer Story Time is designed for ages preschool through 3rd grade. Interested children will meet in the Library at 10:00 a.m. on the first Wednesday of each month, June-July-August. Registration is not required!

Summer Breakfast with a Book – second Wednesday of the month (June-July-August)
During June-July-August 2021, a summer version of Breakfast with a Book will be available on the second Wednesday of the summer months at 9am. The first discussion book is The Giver by Lois Lowry. Keurig coffee/tea is available at the Library, or participants can provide their own. Email or stop in if you have questions.
Breakfast with a Book – second Saturday of the month (September-May)
The Library’s book discussion group typically meets in the Library at 9am on the second Saturday of each month (September-May). A copy of all discussion books is available at the Library. Email or stop in if you have questions.
Take a virtual road trip around the USA by reading books and participating in fun activities! Visit the Library to get your reading log and information about ways to participate.
The Kindred Public Library maintains two Little Free Library locations in Kindred – one located near Gilbertson Park and the other near the City Park. These little libraries are restocked regularly; feel free to “take a book, leave a book”!
“Frozen” for grade 3-8 and “How to be a Pirate” for grades K-2 is scheduled for July 19-23 at the Davenport Community Center in Davenport. Both age groups will practice at the same time in the same place from 9am-2pm. Both shows will be presented at 7pm on Friday, the 23rd.
Summer Arts Safari is a musical performance camp that provides a fun and unique musical theater experience for kids ages 6-14! The college-age troop leaders from East Grand Forks, MN, hold a short audition on the first day of camp to place students in appropriate roles. We are excited to again host our Festival of Tables fundraiser and purse raffle! This promises to be a fun way togather with friends while enjoying a glass of wine and appetizers, view creatively-decorated tables, and purchase a $.50 for a chance to win a purse and its secret contents.
We are currently looking for table hostesses who are willing to share their treasures and creativity, and for anyone interested in donating a purse for the raffle (be sure not to reveal its contents though!). Contact the Library for more information!
