I’ll be Gnome for Christmas photo tour/ lighting contest/basket raffle – November 22-December 15
“I’ll be Gnome for Christmas” is the COVID-compliant version of the Library’s annual Tour of Homes fund raiser. In 2020, there is an online photo tour, a lighting contest and a basket raffle from November 22-December 15. This is an opportunity to be creative, be festive, and have fun! Details of this year’s holiday event are shown below. Contact the Library with questions.

Breakfast with a Book – second Saturday of the month
The Library’s book discussion group typically meets in the Library at 9am on the second Saturday of each month (September-May). A copy of all discussion books is available at the Library. The 2020-21 reading list includes: October 10 – Educated by Tara Westover; November 14 – Blind Your Ponies by Stanley Gordon West; December 12 – The Noel Letters by Richard Paul Evans; January 9 – The Snow Child by Ewoyn Ivey; February 13 – The Fifth Avenue Story Society by Rachel Hauck; March 13 – This Tender Land by William Kent Kruger; April 10 – The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate; May 8 – TBA. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, participants are asked to provide their own beverage and snack. Email or stop in if you have questions.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the Library’s summer reading program for 2020, Summer Reading Bucket List. The 2021 program will be announced when available.
The Kindred Public Library maintains two Little Free Library locations in Kindred – one located near Gilbertson Park and the other near the City Park. These little libraries are restocked regularly; feel free to “take a book, leave a book”!

The “normal” Festival of Tables/Purse Raffle was changed due to COVID-related concerns. The 2020 physical-distancing option … Festival of Picnic Tables! 2020 Festival Photos were featured on the Library’s Facebook page. Raffle tickets were available in the Library, with purses displayed in the lobby.
This annual fund-raising event will return in August 2021. More information available at that time!
