The building currently rented by the Kindred Public Library is for sale. To assure the Library is able to stay in its current location, Library Trustees proposed to the City of Kindred to purchase the building as a partnership purchase.

Following a public informational hearing in September 2022, the Kindred City Council and the Library Trustees agreed to proceed with the partnership purchase of the Library building. NOTE – there will not be an increase in the mill levy associated with this purchase and current building tenants will remain. The Library is committed to raising $50,000 towards the purchase which will take place in 2023.
