Rumpelstiltskin at KPAC – April 16

The Fargo-Moorhead Community Theatre (FMCT) spring presentation is Rumpelstiltskin. This theater opportunity is open to grades 3-6. with rehearsal on April 1-16 and a public performance on the 16th at 6pm in the KPAC. This event is organized by the Kindred Area Arts Partnership (KAAP). Watch for more information!

Story Time

Story Time at the Library is a great outing for children ages 3-10. The 2025-26 Fall/Winter Story Time theme is Book Buffet. Each session will feature guest readers and tasty tales about making, eating and celebrating food!

StoryWalk

StoryWalk will reopen in Spring 2026 with a new book selection. StoryWalk is a joint project between
the Kindred Public Library and the Kindred Park Board. Participants can follow posted signs along an unguided route within Kindred to read individual pages of a book.

Festival of Tables – August 11, 2026

The Festival is a fun evening of creatively-decorated tables, purses with secret insides, tasty food and beverages, a brief program, and plenty of visiting and laughter! Email the Library for more information about hosting a table, donating a purse or assisting with this event in 2026.

Trick or Treat at the Library – October 31, 2026

Add the Kindred Public Library to your Halloween stops from 5:00-7:00pm on the 31st! Treats are available while the light is on!

Tour of Homes – November 22, 2026

The Library’s annual Tour of Homes/Basket Raffle on the Sunday before Thanksgiving is a fun Fall event! Invite a friend or two; stop at the Library for your $20 Tour ticket as you enjoy holiday treats and check out the basket raffle items. Then start the self-guided tour of beautifully-decorated area homes.
The Tour of Homes is one of two major fundraisers for the Kindred Public Library. Contact the Library for more information on how you can support your local library by participating in this event!

The Kindred Public Library maintains two Little Free Library locations in Kindred – one near the Gilbertson Park playground and the other near the City Park. Both locations are open year-round and restocked regularly with reading materials for all ages. Free free to stop to “take a book, leave a book”!
