The Friends of the Kindred Public Library is a nonprofit 503(c)(3) organization.

The Friends organization provides library staffing, event planning, maintenance, and fund-raising opportunities for the Library. All volunteers are considered to be part of “Friends”. However, you can also be a Friend without being a volunteer. Friends of the Library are encouraged to help with coordination and/or assistance of various activities throughout the calendar year. Events may include Festival of Tables, Tour of Homes/Basket Raffle, reading programs, theater opportunities, Breakfast with a Book, Halloween at the Library, Dr. Seuss birthday, and more.

Meetings for the Friends of the Kindred Public Library are held at the Library and are open to the public. Meeting dates are posted at the Library. Friends Minutes are available on this website and also posted at the Library.

2026-27 Friends meetings:
Friends of the KPLibrary typically meet the second Monday of each month in the Library, starting at 6:00 p.m. Date changes may occur due to schedule conflicts and/or inclement weather; these will be noted on the Library’s Facebook page.

Meetings are open to the general public.
